Stefan Dietrich
Stefan Dietrich is Managing Partner of Stefan Dietrich Consulting LLC, a New York-based
technology consulting firm that focuses primary on technology strategies for complex
initiatives and investment advisory for fast growing startup companies. He has held senior
executive roles at AXA, Reuters, and Deutsche Bank defining innovative strategies and
delivering complex technology solutions. Dr. Dietrich developed groundbreaking workplace
technology strategies as a Managing Director in the Office of the CTO at AXA, which included
simplifications of related internal security, privacy and compliance frameworks and
technology architectures, leading to consolidation and higher efficiency. As a result, AXA
adopted a modern, cloud-based (SaaS), “bring-your-own-device” (BYOD) strategy two years
before its competitors.

Dr. Dietrich received a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science from the
University of Stuttgart and served as a Postdoctoral Fellow and faculty member at Cornell
University. His thought leadership on strategic technology issues is sought out by large
research firms and the news media, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times,
National Public Radio and Forbes.com. His material is frequently used for executive
education, most recently at the MIT Sloan program.

G. Sandy Diehl, III
G. Sandy Diehl, III is the CEO and Founder of SD Global Advisors, LLC, which he started in
2012, following a 25-year career with United Technologies (NYSE: UTX) and its Otis Elevator
business unit. SD Global Advisors works with clients on strategies to increase their revenue
by focusing on globalization, product innovation, talent and business development, as well as
the execution of these new initiatives.

During his Otis career, Mr. Diehl held both line P&L management positions, as well as other
senior-level strategy and product development roles. For example, prior to leaving UTC, he
was the VP of UTC’s Integrated Building Systems, an innovative initiative where he led the
collaboration of UTC’s independent commercial business units to serve major global projects
and customers. In his last assignment at Otis Elevator, Mr. Diehl was Senior Vice President
for Strategy and Development, where he was responsible for Otis’ global marketing, business
development, product management and communication functions. In this role, he was an
integral part of the Otis expansion in the China, India, and Middle Eastern markets, from
1997-2012.

New York, NY, February 20, 2013 – Labrador Technology (www.labradortech.com) has recently completed an engagement with a leading Investment Management Firm with over $400 billion in assets under management. With over 3,000 employees located across more than 40 cities internationally, the client’s real estate portfolio is widespread and complex. In the closing months of 2012, they decided to reposition their U.S. space portfolio to improve efficiency at twelve (12) branch offices, one back office facility, and their New York headquarters.

Labrador was brought on to be responsible for all technology elements of the real estate efficiency program and to report directly to the IT management team located at the client’s NYC headquarters. Working with the facilities, construction, and business stakeholders, Labrador was the single point of contact for all information technology elements of the real estate program. Consolidating responsibilities in this way helped ensure seamless efforts across the roughly 75,000 SQF in branch office space as well the updates at the headquarters.

As a global company with significant international investments, downtime needed to be minimized during all project work. Some of the offices also included subleased space, which further complicated matters. Labrador worked closely with the local teams at each of the offices to ensure downtime was minimized and communication with tenants was handled appropriately for all technology related work.

Labrador’s expertise in IT project management and infrastructure design ensured consistent quality across each project. Additionally, using standard infrastructure specifications and aggregate material orders for the entire portfolio allowed Labrador to negotiate bulk pricing, which significantly lowered the overall cost to the client.

The project timeline was aggressive, starting in September 2012 and completing in December 2012. Labrador was up to the task and helped this client improve their U.S. real estate portfolio, while maintaining continuity of day-to-day operations.
